IF TOYOTA DID IT, THEN WHY NOT OTHERS......

IF TOYOTA DID IT,

Yes, its an expereince that always leaves an unforgettable mark on anyones life, could be because of its sweetness or ........sourness.

It was a normal-usual interview, which finally become a learning lesson for me. Thats the one company, I always heard good about, and thats the main reason I want to & went to try my luck, of around 50 km from my house, even after knowing that the pacakge is low for an experienced MBA.

Work & habit speaks much louder than advertisments, thats what I felt true first time. People out their in Bidadi (Bangalore) were looking like, as if they are really following the six sigma, not only in their work & technologies, but in their personal lifes too.

It was the lunch hour when I reached there, and they offered me a coupon for lunch. Small incident, where I saw a person, who seems to be on higher position, after opening & using a Bislari water bottle, passed the rest to someone who seems to be a junior to him. I know its not a new thing for few people, but the big deal is that the junior accpeted it happily. I was wondering why he accpeted that open bottle, when he can take a new bislari bottle, like every other Indian does.

As soon as I finished my lunch, I was called for the interview session. I filled a form with basic details, and after 10 mins I was called in front of 2 people, for the interview. My interview was good, everything was their whatever they have demanded. It ran for about 20-25 mins. Interviewers seems to be very happy with my profile. They asked me to wait outside, and within 2 mins, a girl came out and told me that sorry you didnt get selected because our requirements are not matching with your profile. It seems that you are over qualified for this post. And she told me that we dont want to waste your as well as companies time, so we dont wanna give you any hope for the 2nd call. It could be Six sigma for them, but for me its Double Six sigma, as they have saved my time too.

With my personal experience, I never found any company who said this to me earlier. Rather companies want you to wait for long & will feel proud & happy, if anyhow they tab an over qualified candidate.

There are companies which will not disclose their pacakge till your final placements. I have an experience, where a well reputed real estate company have told the package after the final selection to an experienced MBA, which (package) I am sure would not be accpetable even to a graduate guy. So, what such kind of companies trying to do in the market. Is it a marketing stunt or they want to show their supremacy in the market. If they are trying anyone of these two, I dont think they will get get anyone of the above.

There are loads of incidents where companies, at the time of calling candidates, tells them that "pacakage would depend on the candidates capabilities". And when applicant reaches for interview, he/she gets to know that the pacakge is very very low, which is not even accordence with their qualifications, leave the capabilities & experience.

This is what leads to the experience, which is very sour and make an Unforgettable mark on the company. And thats the experience, which was sweet and left a memory for every walk of life...............................an unforgetabel lesson.

THEN, WHY NOT OTHERS........................
